Cokethorpe School
is a thriving co-educational day school situated in over 150 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire parkland. The School offers a well-rounded and stimulating education for pupils aged four to eighteen with the Cokethorpe family comprising a Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form within the shared grounds. It is our belief that our pupils dig deeper, reach higher, and stretch further when they feel the embrace of supportive peers and the oversight of caring teachers who know when and how to challenge them. This sense of community is fostered by the close-knit House system where young people develop a deep sense of belonging; it is forged around the close, working relationship of the small classrooms, where teachers engage the intellect, encourage students to grapple with ideas, and teach lifelong respect and humility.
The rural setting,
located two miles south of Witney and ten miles west of Oxford, provides an inspirational learning environment with excellent facilities and the School’s extensive bus network ensures it is easily accessible for families from across Oxfordshire and beyond.
Academic excellence
is pursued with rigour but Cokethorpe also values its range of pupils and prides itself on the attention it affords the individual, celebrating the diversity of their ambitions and success. At the heart of the School community is the belief that everyone belongs and everyone contributes.
