Wokefield Place is a contemporary conference building with an abundance of indoor plants, fairy lights and natural daylight thanks to The Avenue that runs straight through the building’s centre. Here, you’ll discover Benedict’s Bar with its large outdoor patio area, The View restaurant which serves British cuisine with a French flair and 222 modern, comfortable bedrooms. The Wokefield Suite, the estate’s largest event space can be found in Wokefield Place and is a popular choice for large conferences, self-catered weddings and exhibitions. For golf enthusiasts, the Pro Shop is the place to be alongside the driving range, putting green and of course the 18-hole championship golf course. There is also an indoor swimming pool, sauna and newly refurbished gym with Technogym equipment.
At the heart of the estate, the Grade II listed Mansion House has been thoughtfully restored to its former glory offering 87 guest rooms, including 12 luxury suites, a number of beautiful event spaces and the 1560 Restaurant and Bar. The Terrace Suite is the grandest space in the Mansion House with its chandeliers, private outdoor terrace overlooking the lawns and gardens, plus it benefits from its own bar. Tapas at 1560 opens every Friday and Saturday night to serve authentic, delicious tapas, small plates and paella for both guests and members of the public. Afternoon Tea is served daily from 1pm, and if the weather is fair, can be taken outside on the sun-drenched terrace.
Sitting just south-west of London, the hotel is located near Reading and is just 10 minutes from J11 of the M4 and 40 minutes from Heathrow Airport. Travel into London Paddington is just 50 minutes on the new Elizabeth Line, with up to six trains an hour departing from Reading station.
