Bringing a slice of Tokyo chic to Jericho, KIBOU Oxford, located at 11-12 Little Clarendon Street, is a beautiful Japanese restaurant and bar that just oozes glamour and style. Bursting with colour, its stunning décor features iconic Japanese murals, traditional block print textiles, and a network of Japanese floral and foliage installations.
With seating for around 100 guests, there’s an eye-catching range of zones to enjoy in the restaurant. From the light and airy conservatory with hand-painted mirror artwork, to the characterful dining room with views to the open sushi kitchen, and a gorgeous cocktail lounge.
There’s also a lush and leafy Japanese-inspired garden, with further seating for 40 guests, and an exotic private dining room for more intimate gatherings of up to 12.
The menu at KIBOU is a treat to behold as well, both in its presentation and its flavour. Expect to find all your favourite dishes from Japan, from show-stopping platters of sushi and sashimi, heartwarming bowls of ramen, classic katsu and teriyaki, and a range of delicious hot Japanese sharers – their crispy prawn and softshell crab tempura is to die for! There’s also a dedicated wagyu section on the menu, featuring decadent A5 grade wagyu beef served with a variety of finishes.
To complement the restaurant offering, their bar serves an ambitious selection of Japanese whisky and sake, along with Japanese-brewed beers and signature Japanese-inspired cocktails. Their classic KIBOU is a must-try – a truly elegant cocktail combining gin, umeshu, yuzu and red amaranth, served in a ‘look at me’ glass that’s as eye-catching as the venue!
