The Living Rainforest in Berkshire is a lovely attraction that is sure to charm you. The charity run visitor attraction is all-weather and indoors. There are free ranging animals and birds that make it feel just like a real rainforest! We loved watching the sloth and even the armadillo which needed to be in an enclosure, otherwise we may have met it in the car park given how industriously it was digging! You can either rush round and miss things on the way to the playground or take time to educate the kids. With free parking and a great value annual ticket, it’s a fantastic day out for families.

The Living Rainforest Centre is run by the  Trust for Sustainable Living

We welcome around 100,000 visitors each year, including 25,000 children on school trips. Visitors can experience the sights, sounds and smells of a lush tropical rainforest environment – and explore how plants, animals, human needs, economies and cultures are all linked.

The centre is home to over 850 species of plants and animals, including rare and endangered species of global conservation value.
