Hosted in Oxfordshire’s Waterperry House and Gardens, Waterperry Opera Festival celebrates its 5th Anniversary Season, showcasing emerging talent with no fewer than eight open-air and indoor productions performed in various performance spaces across the stunning Waterperry estate.
This year's programme includes a new bold production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro; a UK professional premiere of Ana Sokolović’s virtuosic a cappella opera Svadba ‘A Wedding’; the much-anticipated return of Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park and the widely loved family favourite, Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.
To accompany this cheerful programme is Janáček’s The Diary of One Who Disappeared, a Wagnerian concert pairing of Siegfried Idyll and Wesendonck Lieder, Dove’s Figures in the Garden, a collaboration with Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Oxfordshire County Youth Orchestra; and Flora, a festival commission for viola and dance.
Enjoy a relaxing, fun & informal full day-out with family and/or friends. With affordable tickets, there's something for everyone. All ages welcome!
