From the original owners that lovingly lived here and raised their families, passed down to generation to generation, seeing additions to the front of the building to the addition of the linen fold wood paneling in the Barons Hall. The hotel was a family home right up to the 1940s, when it became a hotel. Over these years it went through many different changes, from the days when it was a monastery surrounded by a moat, to the building you see today. The original features like the Barons Hall, the paneling in the breakfast room and the beautiful wood paneled fireplace as you enter the hotel will send you back to the days of when it was a country home.
Even though this is a large building it is very intimate in its room size and makes you feel warm and cosy – just like it would have felt when families used to live here. The Manor’s décor maintains the history.
