Clive Nichols is one of the leading Flower and Garden Photographers in the world. Self-taught, he is based in rural Oxfordshire and travels to gardens all over the world, famous for his painterly style and use of light to create magical images.

It is this skill that has earned him many awards over the years and allowed him into many of the world’s best gardens including His Majesty, King Charles’s own private garden in Scotland; Lord Rothschild's private garden in Corfu; and Lord Heseltine's private garden in Oxfordshire. His passion for the subject comes across in every image that he makes. He has developed one of the largest followings on Instagram (171k) for gardens and garden design, as his own reputation and frequent masterclasses lead the way for hundreds of aspiring students and designers.

Clive’s work has appeared in hundreds of books as well as magazines, calendars, greetings cards and brochures. His latest book ‘Brilliant English Gardens’, features Clive’s 27 favourite gardens to date. Glorious images grace every page and invite the reader to view the gardens through Clive’s creative eye.

Broadway Contemporary Art located in the historic Cotswold village of Broadway opened in late 2023 and offers contemporary and impressionist art collections from local and national artists in the mediums of art, sculpture and design, in addition to a selection of restored and bespoke mid-century furniture pieces.

Founded by local Art expert, Gary Thompson in the belief that ‘art should be enjoyed as part of life’, pieces are selected to complement modern interiors and bring fresh bursts of colour to more traditional settings. The Gallery also aims to offer a unique opportunity to Artists and Creatives for events, including book signings and exhibitions all housed in a charming and versatile space right in the heart of Broadway, the jewel of the Cotswolds. A village world-famous for its rich heritage and chocolate-box Cotswold scenes – Broadway is an ‘Instagrammers’ dream.

Coming together for the first time, Clive Nichols and Broadway Contemporary are delighted to announce an exclusive book signing and exhitibion of Clive’s incredible photographic work to be held on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March. As well as Brilliant English Gardens books, a limited edition collection of nearly 30 of Clive’s Garden and Flower photographs have been hand picked and curated by Clive and the Broadway Contemporary team, all framed and on display for the first time. The book is large format, with most images as double page spreads, to maximise the effect of the gardens and to allow the reader full immersion into the experience of each one.
