Today marks the start of Cornbury House Horse Trials, a five-day international equestrian, which takes place in the parklands of Cornbury House in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, in the heart of the Cotswolds.
New for this year is an exciting partnership with The Pelican pub, based in Notting Hill, which has recently opened The Bull pub, located next to Cornbury Estate in Charlbury. ‘The Pelican in the Field’ is a hospitality experience that will be available on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September and guests can expect a fantastic feasting style menu, set in a relaxed space overlooking the main show-jumping arena. Tickets for ‘The Pelican in the Field’ are available to purchase for £125pp and includes admission to the Horse Trials.
Over the weekend, families can also look forward to experiencing ‘Wildings’, an action-packed dedicated space for kids and families to get involved with a range of FREE interactive activities. A dedicated team will be on hand to help with those imaginative creations and even better, all the activities are Free to enjoy. Activities will include:
- Willow weaving
- Leaf making to decorate the Cornbury Wishing Tree
- Clay animal making
- Climate science workshop (Sat only)
- Junk Trunk craft workshop
With its visually stunning backdrops of Cornbury House and the Wychwood Forest, thrilling sport and family-friendly entertainment and shopping across the weekend, Cornbury House Horse Trials promises a wonderful afternoon for all.
