The evenings are getting darker, and a hint of chill in the air means the garden is losing some of its allure. I’m getting ready to lounge. Slothing out – but make it stylish.
No fear, I’ve discovered Pajama Pantry; a no-waste, slow-fashion brand whose clothing is made by a Fair-Trade women’s collective in Bangalore, with all offcuts sent to the UK to be repurposed into accessories. They are bright, they are beautiful, and they are unique. Brand founder, Alice, only buys 30 metres of each fabric (from deadstock or end of rolls) and so the vibrant, joyous designs are limited in number. Browsing the site you’ll find pjs, shorts, robes, nightshirts and more in a genuinely inclusive range of sizes. Adding to the joy is the teeny lavender pouch which accompanies orders, a last, sweet reminder of summer.
