Festive Feasts

The Greyhound Inn

divider

The Greyhound Inn is a proper village pub which serves delicious food and drink and offers characterful ensuite bedrooms. In the heart of a pretty downland village by the North Wessex Downs near the Ridgeway, it’s perfect for walkers and cyclists.

Expect a warm welcome in the dog-friendly bar area with wood-burning stoves from James and his team. There is a sunny and pretty walled garden with outdoor seating. The cosy dining areas offer relaxed spaces to enjoy the cuisine from Head Chef, Liam Whittle who has developed an exceptional menu of beautifully presented, modern British dishes which showcase wonderful, seasonal local produce.

Over Christmas, our extended menu offers a range of 'Small plates' to accompany a drink including our famous Scotch Egg.

Earlier this year, Little Clarendon Street was named one of the coolest places in the UK. The glowing report cited shops like Wild Honey and The Jericho Cheese Company, as well as community hub, Common Ground, and the now departed Wilding restaurant. Happily this prime venue has not stayed vacant for long. Kibou, the Japanese Kitchen and Bar, has opened its latest outpost in Jericho, and I went along to try out their contemporary and very stylish take on Japanese classics and street food.
