Mark your calendars for this October as Sudeley Castle's magnificent gardens and rich history will be converted into a Halloween wonderland from 26 October to 3 November. The events are designed to cater to all ages, including eerie evening ghost tours and a mysterious Mediaeval Monster trail.
Guests can explore the castle grounds on the enchanted Mediaeval Monster trail throughout the day. A group of five amiable mediaeval characters will wait for visitors on the interactive route, which is ideal for igniting young explorers' imaginations. Children (and adults) are invited to participate in the fun by dressing up in their most beloved costumes and dancing in Sudeley's Orangery for the Mediaeval Monsters Ball.
Families may explore the ruins of a vanished mediaeval village with archaeologists from Dig Ventures after the ball at Sudeley's eerie Ha-Ha. It's a fascinating blend of Halloween and history that is sure to fascinate guests.
For those seeking a little more mystery, Sudeley Castle is offering eerie twilight treks on three dates- 27,29, and 31 October, from 3–5pm. Chase Lane Fireworks will provide breathtaking fireworks and ominous smoke effects as evening descends, bringing the castle grounds to life. Spook seekers can expect crackle and fizz, and experience Sudeley Castle as they’ve never seen it before as they are transported to a Halloween journey back in time.
On 29, 30, and 31 October, Sudeley is providing spine-tingling ghost tours for those daring enough to experience true terror. Visitors will hear eerie tales of some of Sudeley's most well-known ghosts, such as the Lady in Green and a severe Victorian housekeeper, as they are guided by lantern light. The excursions begin at 6.30pm and cost £40 per person. After the tour, guests may enjoy spiced mulled cider in the Castle Coach House, which is the ideal way to warm up after a night of spooky encounters.
While Halloween is the star of the show, guests may take advantage of all that Sudeley Castle has to offer, including its ten award-winning gardens full of vibrant autumn foliage and intriguing exhibitions on Tudor history.
