Get ready for a mesmerising end to this month as local rock star, Scott Ottaway, and Thame-based improvisation expert, Matt Sparkes, are set to appear at the Aylesbury's Mind Body Spirit Wellbeing Show on 28 September at the Grange School. Organised by Bucks-based company, Deer Spirit Events, this dynamic event promises an exciting blend of creativity, relaxation, and personal growth.
Ottaway, who has toured all over the world with the Searchers, famous for their sixties hit ‘Needles and Pins’, will be running one of his popular drumming for wellbeing workshops. Ottaway says, “Drumming helps release endorphins, improves coordination, and provides a powerful emotional outlet. It’s a unique stress-relief experience, enhancing focus, and fostering a sense of community.”
Scott will be joined by Expert improviser Matt Sparkes, from Thame, who is well-known for his engaging performances at theatres and festivals nationwide. An improvisation session will be held by Sparkes, encouraging participants to gain self-assurance, unleash their creativity, and enjoy the delight of impromptu play. Sparkes says, "Improv helps you experience the joy of spontaneous play, connect with others, and build confidence." Those looking for emotional health and personal development in a positive, encouraging setting will find this workshop ideal."
Beyond these seminars, the program features a stellar roster of holistic therapists, authorities on spirituality and wellbeing, and readers with expertise in angel readings, shamanic traditions, tarot, and mediumship. In addition, attendees get the opportunity to peruse an assortment of stores selling handmade jewellery, crystals, and wellness items. Additional workshops and talks cover topics such as healing, journaling, psychometry, crystals and tarot.
“This show offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with yourself, find clarity, and nourish
your mind, body and spirit,” says organiser, Julie Fenn, of Deer Spirit. “It’s the perfect place
to relax, recharge and explore new tools for improving your overall wellbeing.”
