Moreton Show is one of the biggest one-day agricultural shows in the country, showcasing the best in British agriculture, the equestrian world and rural life.

After the success of the revamped layout for the 2021 show, the team have decided to keep the widened aisleways and the fantastic Food and Retails Avenues, which were a sell out last year.

The Show not only celebrates the best of the British countryside but also the wonderful businesses that have shown endeavour across the Cotswolds. The Food and Retail Avenues are full to the brim with local businesses, from locally reared Hereford beef to sustainably made rugs using recycled clothes, there's not much you can't find at Moreton Show. In 2022, there are 40 food trade stands all based within a 20-mile radius of the showground. This year, the team are focused on showcasing the great food and food producers we have in the local area.

Richard Heath, Trade Stand Co-ordinator says: “We are keen to promote farm to fork at our show. We think its paramount that everyone understands where their food comes from, and what it takes to produce that food. We hope to help educate the next generation about their food and what makes up a balanced diet. It’s also great to show we can repurpose items rather than sending them to landfill.”

A long-standing supporter of the show, The Pig and Lion, have had a trade stand at Moreton Show for the past 12 years and have watched the show grow to what it is today. This year the team at The Pig and Lion will be demonstrating the traditional and sustainable craft of rag rug making throughout the day, so pop in and say hi, you may even be able to put a few clips in too using old t-shirts, jeans, jumpers and shirts that would usually be thrown away. Ann-Rachel, from The Pig and Lion agrees: “I love how rural life runs through the heart of the show, its friendly, supportive and inspirational.”

There's not only lots to see and do at Moreton Show, it's also a great opportunity to do some shopping, there is everything from combines to cashmere, tweed to tractors, wellies to wax jackets and lots more!

See you on Saturday, 3rd September 2022.
