New Theatre Oxford Announces New Corporate Club

divider

We’re very excited by the prospect of New Theatre Oxford’s new Director’s Box which is part of the theatre’s new Corporate Club. With shows including West End Musicals, like War Horse, Olivier Winner Come From Away, and Six; plus Katherine Ryan, Frank Skinner and Mo Gilligan; and musicians like Paloma Faith, Paul Weller and Elvis Costello all scheduled at The New Theatre in 2024 it promises to be a great year for the theatre and this will be the icing on the cake.

With its own bar, plus state-of-the-art sound and the best view of the stage, the Director’s Box is a private space which even includes a dedicated host for the night. The design is seriously glamorous and injects a sense of occasion into a night at the theatre.

The Corporate Club is designed for business clients who can book exclusive access to The Director’s Box as part of a package of perks. Theatre Director David O’Hara comments:
“We are proud to present this exciting new era in Corporate Hospitality. As part of our Corporate Club we will offer the best-in-class corporate packages accompanied with the ultimate live entertainment experience.”

In the meantime, we’re hopping onto Vinted in search of velvet gowns, faux-fur shrugs, opera glasses and some seriously sparkling jewels. Oxford’s theatre scene just got glam.

For the uninitiated, Nell Mescal (yes, sister of actor Paul) is an Irish singer-songwriter who hit the festival circuit hard last summer, playing (amongst others) The Great Escape, BST Hyde Park, Boardmasters and Live at Leeds. This year, she’s headed to Oxfordshire and Alex James’ Big Feastival for August bank holiday weekend. Eloise Lonsdale caught up with her to find out more about her musical style and her recently launched EP, Can I Miss it For a Minute.

2024’s Truck line-up looks to be one of its best yet, balancing big names with emerging artists and beloved regulars. As an event, it has come to mark start of the summer holidays for its devoted attendees, but how about the acts? We caught up with Oli Khan, drummer in indie-rock band Sea Girls to get the bands-eye view.
