The ballot is now officially open for the biggest sporting event in Oxford’s running calendar.
The much-anticipated Oxford Half Marathon returns on Sunday 16th October 2022 with 13,000 runners set to take to the city’s historic streets. With limited places available to this oversubscribed event, runners have until 20th April to enter the ballot for their chance to secure their place.
Alternatively, runners can exclusively bypass the Oxford Half 2022 ballot and save money by purchasing via the Limelight Sports Club Membership Platform.
“At LimeLight Sports Club, we want participants sweating for the causes that move them. Charities are at the heart of our races and our mission to create an active world together. Over 400 charities already use our races to raise funds to support their missions and services.” - James Robinson, MD, LimeLight Sports Club
Founded in 2010, the Oxford Half has become a firm favourite in the UK sporting calendar. Runners will take on the flat 13.1 mile route that begins in the city centre and passes through Old Marston village, the River Cherwell, Oxford University’s impressive Lady Margaret Hall, before finally finishing on Parks Road.
Live bands and DJs will keep runners entertained all along the route - no need for headphones! After the race, finishers can kick back and soak up the festival atmosphere in Race Village on Oxford University Parks.
