Oxfords Biggest Time Warp Rocky Horror Picture Show Live

You may already be shivering with antici……pation at the imminent arrival of The Rocky Horror Show in Oxford…and now you have a chance to get involved!

The New Theatre Oxford is looking to host the city’s biggest Time Warp, and is encouraging people from across the city to join them for the event, which is being held at 1pm on Tuesday, March 26 at the Westgate Shopping Centre.

Participants will have the chance to do the iconic dance, which will be led by the cast of the show.

This critically-acclaimed stunning new production is now back by public demand and returns to the New Theatre Oxford from March 25 – 30. Tickets are available to purchase now.

This classic musical extravaganza will star Blue singer and Hollyoaks actor Duncan James as Frank, Strictly Come Dancing Champion Joanne Clifton as Janet and a1’s Ben Adams as Brad.

The Rocky Horror Show tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two squeaky clean college kids who meet Dr Frank’n’Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house whilst on their way to visit their favourite college professor. It’s an adventure they’ll never forget, with fun, frolics, frocks and frivolity, bursting with timeless songs and outrageous outfits. The Rocky Horror Show is a guaranteed party, which famously combines science-fiction, horror, comedy and music while encouraging audience participation meaning, of course, getting dressed in the most outrageous fancy dress.

Ready to thrill you with fun and naughty moments, The Rocky Horror Show is the boldest bash of them all. But be warned, this show has rude parts!

For the uninitiated, Nell Mescal (yes, sister of actor Paul) is an Irish singer-songwriter who hit the festival circuit hard last summer, playing (amongst others) The Great Escape, BST Hyde Park, Boardmasters and Live at Leeds. This year, she’s headed to Oxfordshire and Alex James’ Big Feastival for August bank holiday weekend. Eloise Lonsdale caught up with her to find out more about her musical style and her recently launched EP, Can I Miss it For a Minute.
