Oxford's Cosy Club Opens

divider

Cosy Club Oxford has finally opened its doors (Monday 16th October 2023). The Cosy Club design and build teams have been busy transforming the site at Northgate House, Cornmarket Street into something incredibly special.

Once through the doors, guests are immersed in an interior where the Arts and Crafts movement and Victoriana collide with nods to Biba-esq styling from the Swinging Sixties.

100 bespoke statement light fittings, reams of sumptuous fabrics, 206 rolls of wallpaper and plumes of ostrich feathers will curate a feeling of dandyish decadence with a splash of glamour.

Lucy Knowles, Managing Director, Cosy Club says: “We’re delighted to finally be open and to welcome guests through the door of this wonderful Cosy Club. The team has worked incredibly hard to create something very special. The transformation of this building is a feast for the eyes - an eccentric sense of Britishness with a big splash of glamour!

“We have something for everyone from morning to night, with marvellous breakfasts, brunches, delectable lunch and dinner menus and the best cocktails for miles. The party season is just around the corner so we look forward to celebrating the festive season with everyone in style.”

Cosy Club Oxford will appeal to those looking to celebrate and socialise in beautiful and grand surroundings with exceptional food and drink, attentive service and warm hospitality. An all-day menu featuring fresh and modern classics, an extensive brunch range as well as a great selection of gluten free and vegan options will ensure all tastes will be catered for. As well as delicious food, Cosy Club is famous for its abundance of top-notch cocktails and tipples, guaranteed to satisfy everyone’s fancy.

Cosy Club Oxford is the perfect location to host soirees, with two private areas available to book. The Treasury, a private dining room decorated with reclaimed stained-glass screens from a Victorian banking hall, will be available for celebrations and parties. While the Mulberry Suite, decked with velvet walls, mirrored ceiling and ice wells ensuring the bubbles are always at the perfect temperature, will be available to book for private groups.

Earlier this year, Little Clarendon Street was named one of the coolest places in the UK. The glowing report cited shops like Wild Honey and The Jericho Cheese Company, as well as community hub, Common Ground, and the now departed Wilding restaurant. Happily this prime venue has not stayed vacant for long. Kibou, the Japanese Kitchen and Bar, has opened its latest outpost in Jericho, and I went along to try out their contemporary and very stylish take on Japanese classics and street food.
