Sylfirm X uses radiofrequency microneedling to help promote the production of healthy collagen and it delivers impressive results in a one-hour treatment with no downtime. I went to try it out at Dr Jinah Yoo Dermatology’s Maylin Clinic in Marylebone but there are approved providers closer to home, like Dr Ayad in Bicester.
Andrea, my therapist, took time to explain each stage, and started our session by photographing my skin using the clinic’s QuantifiCare 3D skin analysis which assesses for open pores, wrinkles, pigmentation issues, sebum levels, tone and radiance, ensuring all treatments are personally tailored for each client. This was followed by a thorough cleanse and the application of numbing cream to ensure the procedure was completely pain free. The actual time spent with the microneedling machine was probably no more than 15 minutes or so, after which I was whisked off to a relaxing treatment room to lie on one of the plump beds and chill with a face mask – an experience enhanced by added red light therapy. Effects last for two to three months during which time I very much enjoyed being asked what my ‘secret’ was and if I’d been on holiday. Sylfirm X is safe, tested, and FDA approved. It can treat any number of skin concerns, including hyperpigmentation, scarring and rosacea with lasting effects from one treatment.
