As we become more selective when it comes to choosing skin care products, trying to avoid the unexpected ‘nasty’ ingredients contained therein, finding a range of products which are as the name tells us ‘So Pure’ can be a great find. When those products are made with love and care using only quality natural ingredients by a local artisan and they are affordable too, like me, you may want to know more.
Faringdon based Erika who has created the ‘So Pure’ range has sensitive skin and allergies herself which prompted her to start developing her own range of skincare products including soaps, hand and body creams, bath salts and bath bombs, body scrubs and soap dishes.
“I believe in using natural ingredients which are known to have healing and beneficial properties. My soaps help alleviate skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis and they all have truly sensational fragrances from Jasmine and Sandalwood to Lime and Patchouli, and many others. When creating new products, I also include essential oils as aromatherapy plays a bit part in all of ‘So Pure’s’ products. These oils can help you relax, re-boost, re-charge and de-stress depending on which product you choose. Some of my products also have beneficial pain relief properties. The natural massage candle offers both an aromatherapy and a massage bar in a jar. Containing natural Shea and Cocoa Butter, the massage candle is safe to use directly onto the skin. If you experience a massage using warm essential oils, you will find that this can help with inflammation, encourage good sleep and help reduce your stress levels and anxiety. The warmth of the candle is healing, helping relax aching muscles whilst providing a sensation of happiness.”
Erika has already created a range of fabulous products which are all affordable but at the start of 2024, she has introduced some updated and entirely new products.
“My ‘So Pure’ Natural French Clay Soap Collection has been updated. It has a new look and shape which will also make the soaps easier for retailers to display. Following requests from customers, I have also introduced a new size Natural Vegan Hand/Body or Feet cream. It is now available in an easy to carry 60g size as well as the larger 120g pack.”
Erika has also introduced some wonderful Natural Sugar/Salt Shea Butter Body Scrubs to use on hands, body and feet. The range includes Lavender and Ylang Yang, Lemongrass and Lemon and Vanilla, Gardener’s Scrub with Rosemary and Orange. Other new introductions for the early part of 2024 include bringing back the Ultimate Men’s Cream along with a new shaving soap in a tin, based on natural essential oils and luxury butters.
Some of the products on sale during the past year have proved so popular with ‘So Pure’s’ customers, that the range is being extended. The Luxury Bath Soak is now available in a larger 500g refill bag. Natural massage candles are back in stock but are now in glass pouring containers with 50g of extra product included. The product labels have also been enhanced to provide information of the benefits of the candle and how to use them to gain the full benefits. The Frankincense, Rose, Geranium and Lavender Massage Candle which is suitable not only as a massage oil but also as a moisturiser, hair oil and even a bath oil, is particularly beneficial to those want relief for aches and pains including arthritis and rheumatism, as well as helping the body to relax.
“My own personal favourites,” says Erika, “are the aromatherapy botanical wax melts. These are truly relaxing, uplifting and very opulent! As aromatherapy plays a big part in the ‘So Pure’ product range, being attracted to some essential oils can tell you a lot about your well-being. Sometimes, we all need to stop and rest, at other times we need a gentle lift in our lives. A particularly relaxing new product are the Botanical Shower steamers enabling people to experience the benefits of a spa in your shower.”
‘So Pure’ products are available to purchase online at www.so-pure.sumupstore.com and are also stocked in a number of local retailers including the Crafters Emporium in Faringdon, the Faringdon Tourist Information Centre, the Arbery Emporium in Wantage.
