TRAID Winter Pop-up in the Westgate Oxford

TRAID Vintage

London’s iconic charity retailer, TRAID, is launching a winter pop-up in time for the festive season.

Located in Oxford’s Westgate Shopping Centre, the pop-up will feature a collection of the very best second hand clothes handpicked by TRAID’s expert staff.

Customers in Oxford can shop the charity’s curated secondhand collection in store, which until now has only been possible in TRAID’s 12 London-based shops. Featuring clothing from vintage to designer, visitors will also find well-known high street labels.

Importantly, shoppers will be supporting the charity’s mission to keep clothes in use for longer helping to tackle the 360,000 tonnes of clothing that end up in landfill in the UK every year.1 Not only this, but the funds raised will go towards TRAID’s global textile projects, such as funding organic cotton production.

Commenting on the pop-up, Maria Chenoweth, CEO at TRAID said: “We’re pleased to bring TRAID to Oxford for the very first time. We’ve had tremendous success in London over the past two decades, it’s fantastic to be bringing TRAID charity retail to visitors who live further afield. As with every TRAID shop, we’ve designed a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy shopping secondhand in a well curated, beautifully laid out store. It’s the perfect place to find your festive season outfits, buy your secondhand gifts or pick up your preloved Christmas jumpers. “

“Westgate Oxford is a fantastic location for our charity - we want everyone to know secondhand is accessible to all and hope that we encourage some high street die-hards to give second hand a go.”

Brendan Hattam, Centre Director at Westgate Oxford, commented: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our retail offering with the addition of TRAID.”

“In the run up to Christmas, it’s great to be able to offer guests new options and TRAID is a fantastic addition. With sustainability at the forefront of everyone’s minds, we are sure our guests will enjoy exploring the second-hand collections available in-store.”

TRAID’s pop-up will be open in Oxford’s Westgate Shopping Centre from Friday 25 November.
